Abstract
Low self esteem for adolescent will be a lot of imfact who will be caused like, the teen so shy, not
active, frustration it could even depression and suicide (Santrock 2010). The purpose at these
research is to find out factors associated with the status self esteem for adolenscent at SMA Kartika
1-5 Padang 2018. Kind of these research is descriftive analytic with approachment cross sectional.
The population in this study were students of class X and XI SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang, the number
of samples in this study amounted to 85 students. A sample of engineering is proposional random
sampling. The data processed with used statistic experiment chi-square. The result of statistic test
get there a relationship the physical changes with the status of self esteem for adolescent. There’s a
relationship achievement learning with the status of self esteem for the teen adolescent and there’s
a relationship parenting parents with self esteem for the teen adolescent. These research we hope
the school and the teacher can provide information about the importance of self esteem high
