Abstract
Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults faced with various development challenges and problems. Adolescents have complex changes such as biological, psychosexual, cognitive, moral, spiritual, talent, language and psychosocial changes. This study aims to determine the Relationship between Parenting and Social Parenting with the Achievement of Adolescent Self Identity This type of research is analytic with cross sectional cross sectional research design. The population was 382 students of class II at SMK KARTIKA I- I Padang
Vocational School and a sample of 42 people. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Univariate and bivariate data analysis used che square test.The results found (69.0%) adolescents with self-identity was not achieved, (66.7%) adolescents with poor parenting and (71.4%) adolescents with negative frequency distribution of adolescent relationships. Bivariate analysis found that there was a significant relationship between parenting and social parenting with the achievement of adolescent self-identity at SMK KARTIKA I- I Padang in 2019. Can be used as an additional knowledge and insight about the relationship between parenting and social relationships with the achievement of adolescent selfidentity at SMK KARTIKA I- I Padang in 2019
