Elderly will experience setback especially in the field of functional ability that can lead to decrease in social
roles that can cause disruption in terms of sufficient life so that it can lead to dependency that require help from others to assist their daily activities. The elderly also undergoes many changes and decreases in physical and
psychological functions that will affect the elderly in self-assessing. The aimed of this research is to know Self Employed Self Concept Relationship with Level of Ability of Activity Of Daily Living (ADL) of Elderly in
Social House Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin. The study design was analytic survey with cross sectional approach with sample size 52 people with proportional sampling technique random sampling. Data were analyzed using Chi square test. The result was a significant relationship between self concept and activity daily living (ADL) with p value 0,007 (p ≤ 0,05). The results of this study are expected to be promotive efforts
through health education to the elderly about ADL self-concept and independence.
